Tax Day 2017: Entrepreneurs Looking for ACTION on Tax Reform

Washington, D.C. – The following statement can be attributed to Karen Kerrigan, president & CEO of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council):

“Another Tax Day has rolled around and entrepreneurs are again being reminded about the horrors of our tax system. During the 2016 campaign, small business owners were promised an overhaul, and the time for action has arrived. Entrepreneurs want a simple, common sense system with lower rates and one that encourages business investment. What small business owners and entrepreneurs want from a tax code will be great for everyone in America. It is critical that President Trump and leaders in Congress come together and move tax reform this year. The small business sector remains optimistic about the future, but action on policy – especially on tax reform – is critical to sustaining that optimism, which will lead to more investment, quality job creation and growth for the overall economy. Entrepreneurs want action on tax reform – please, no more talk.”
