Dear Member of the U.S. House of Representatives:

The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) and its nationwide network of entrepreneurs and small business owners strongly urge the U.S. House to approve the Senate-passed H. Con. Res. 71, the FY 2018 budget resolution.  Advancing the resolution, without amendment, is a critical issue for our nation’s entrepreneurs and SBE Council will include this vote in our forthcoming Small Business Congressional Vote ReportKEY VOTE: A vote for H. Con. Res. 71 is a vote for America’s entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Tax reform is currently the most critical issue for entrepreneurs and small business owners. Transforming the tax system to one that encourages entrepreneurship, investment and small business success will foster the sustainable growth our economy needs to provide financial security and opportunity for all Americans.

Entrepreneurs and small business owners have great confidence for the future, but tax reform is needed to solidify and fuel confidence for 2018 and beyond.  A tax system that encourages investment and growth will significantly impact this vital sector of the economy. It will also help spur more risk-taking and entrepreneurship, which is desperately needed to strengthen quality job creation, economic dynamism, innovation and a more competitive America.

SBE Council urges you to vote for H. Con. Res. 71 to bring us one step closer to tax reform, and a more prosperous and dynamic economy for all.

Sincerely,

Karen Kerrigan
