The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) is pleased to support H.R. 1026, the Taxpayer Knowledge of IRS Investigations Act of 2015.

H.R. 1026 is an important bill in an ongoing effort to make federal government agencies more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.

Your bill would require the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to notify a taxpayer if it has initiated an investigation into the taxpayer because he or she has alleged criminal or civil violations against a federal employee.
