CNBC: Main Street Groups Wary of Amazon’s Push for Federal Wage Hike

An October 2, 2018 CNBC “Power Lunch” report focused on reaction from groups about Amazon’s announcement that it will not only increase the company’s minimum wage to $15 per hour, but also lobby Congress to hike the federal minimum wage for all businesses.

In her report, Kate Rogers quotes SBE Council president & CEO Karen Kerrigan:

“We appreciate what Amazon is doing on its platform to help some small businesses, but we don’t appreciate their lobbying for policies that could put many small businesses out of business.”
