Urges congressional leaders to dig in and get a package done

Washington, D.C. – Today, Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) president & CEO Karen Kerrigan is urging congressional leaders and negotiators to take another shot at developing a relief and recovery package for America’s small businesses. According to Kerrigan, it is clear that bipartisan support exists for advancing a package before the end of the session with momentum building on Capitol Hill to provide at least an interim package:

“As we have seen with the unveiling of a bipartisan bicameral framework yesterday, broad consensus continues to exist for passing a relief package for small businesses and Americans who desperately need it. With millions of small businesses on the brink of closing, and the jobs that will be lost if these businesses go under, every member of Congress must step up and help to push a package over the finish line and to the President’s desk. SBE Council thanks every Senator and House member for their contribution to the package unveiled yesterday, and we hope this leadership positively impacts their colleagues on both sides of the Capitol and both sides of the aisle.”
