RE: Support for Nomination of Reta Jo Lewis as President of U.S. Export-Import Bank

Dear Chairman Brown and Ranking Member Toomey:

On behalf of the Small Business Roundtable (SBR), a coalition of leading small business and
entrepreneurship organizations dedicated to advancing policy, securing access, and promoting
inclusion to benefit the businesses at the heart of the American economy, the undersigned write
to endorse the nomination of Ms. Reta Jo Lewis to be the next President of the U.S.
Export-Import Bank.

Ms. Lewis’s extensive experience at the federal level will allow her to be an effective leader at
the Bank. Previously, Ms. Lewis served as Special Representative for Global Intergovernmental
Affairs at the U.S. Department of State in the Obama administration. In this capacity, she was
charged with building and supporting strategic relationships between federal, state and local
leaders and their foreign counterparts. Ms. Lewis also previously served as Special Assistant for
Political Affairs to President Bill Clinton.

Ms. Lewis understands the challenges that the 30 million entrepreneurs nationwide face. We
believe that her government experience will serve her well in leading the Bank’s work to assist
with financing and facilitating U.S. exports of goods and services.

If confirmed, Ms. Lewis would deliver critical leadership at the Export-Import Bank as it
continues to support small businesses navigating the Coronavirus pandemic. We express our
utmost support for nominee Ms. Reta Jo Lewis to serve as President of the U.S. Export-Import
Bank and urge her confirmation in the U.S. Senate.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this important nomination. If you have any
additional questions, please do not hesitate to email
