Washington, D.C. – Statement of Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council president & CEO Karen Kerrigan on the one-year observance of January 6, 2021:

“On this solemn day, let each of us pledge to uphold democracy and our democratic institutions in unity and through nonpartisan advocacy, education and actions. The 2020 election is long over, but disinformation continues to sow discord and disunity across our great land. The response from our elected officials must not be delivered with subtleties that transmit an attempt to gain partisan or political advantage, but with an authentic desire to restore unity at home and the faith in American democracy abroad.  God Bless America.”
