Forbes: A Conversation with Business Leaders – Looking Ahead to 2023

The country’s most influential small business leaders, including SBE Council president & CEO Karen Kerrigan, shared thoughts and predictions for policy in 2023 with Rhett Buttle, founder of Public Private Strategies, in his latest Forbes column. As Kerrigan said:
“Congress must find bipartisan ways to fully support small businesses in the areas of taxes and tax simplicity, affordable and personalized health coverage, streamlining regulations and relief from red tape, access to new markets (trade), lowering barriers to labor force entry, and capital access via the JOBS 4.0 proposal. In addition, Congress needs to focus on bolstering the entrepreneurs that have created new firms during the past two years of economic and market disruption.”
She noted that President Biden must do the same, and pull back on the massive regulatory initiatives moving through federal agencies. Read more here (subscription required.)
